First, let us say CONGRATULATIONS! We never tire of seeing happy people celebrating one of the greatest days of their lives. In considering a dj for your reception, please shop around, and keep some things in mind:
•Experience matters: Just like in most things, you get what you pay for. Sure, your uncle or the kid who works at the skating rink can play the music at your reception, but you are taking a risk with one very important part of your event. Think about this: Your guests can still have fun if the cake is dry or the flowers don't match the table cloths, but if your dj is bad or boring, they will leave.
•Size matters :) We are an entertainment company. We are able to have a backup plan for everything. Not only do we do a great job at our receptions, but when our phone rings on a Saturday night with a family in a panic because another dj hasn't shown up for a reception, we dispatch to fix our competitor's mistakes. If you hire an individual and that person has an "emergency", you're going to be stuck. A company is the only way to go if you want to insure that all bases are covered.
•Dedication matters: We are a full-time entertainment company. We don't do anything else. Our time is devoted to making our clients happy and improving our business.
•You matter: We can't stress enough that this day is about you. We have heard enough complaints from customers of other djs who tell us, "I couldn't believe he just played the music he wanted to hear!" Our staff has backgrounds in so many different styles of music, we can play and enjoy it all. Your taste may be country, classic rock, 70s and 80s dance or funk, hip hop, pop, even salsa, reggaeton and other Latin music ... it's all good. We'll bring it, play it, and dance to it with you. Remember that this is the one day that it gets to be all about you.
When
you hire us as the entertainment at your reception, we will:
•...sit with you to answer any questions you might have, and make suggestions to insure the success of your reception.
•...get as many details as possible (e.g. names of the wedding party, order of events, etc.) so we can guide events and make announcement during the reception. You are the guest at the reception; you shouldn't have to look for the photographer or worry about when to do what. With The Pros, you get to sit back and enjoy.
•...ask you what you're looking for. Yes, we are the best at getting a feel for the crowd and keeping the fun going on the dance floor; however, we also want to know in advance if there are any particular songs you love or hate. We are sensitive to your desires and will never play music that you or your guests find offensive. As always, your guests are welcome to request songs.
